JUDGMENT

Mayo JA:
1. This is an appeal against the sentence of 15 months' imprisonment which was imposed upon the appellant for remaining in Hong Kong without the permission of the Director of Immigration and of being in possession of a forged travel document.
2. The appellant tells me that his father is ill and that there is no one to look after him. I regret that this is not a good reason for me to interfere with these sentences.
3. They were neither excessive nor wrong in principle. The appeal is dismissed.
